Meet others who are interested in getting together to explore the local Night Life in the Denver area.
While Meetups at some of the local night clubs, dance spots, lounges, bars, and happy hours will be the focal point of the group's interest, there will also be Meetups that involve activities like going to any of the upcoming outdoor festivals, movie and concert series, dining out or Saturday lunch or Sunday brunch, attending a local sporting event or maybe even planning a trip to Blackhawk or Las Vegas.
If you're new to the Denver area and are interested in meeting new people and finding some good spots to hang out---or even if you're a Denver native and just need a change of venue--be sure and give this group a go.
The group is open to singles or couples of all ages---the only requirement is your willingness to have a good time.
DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE FOR ADVERTISEMENT OF YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES!!!! If you have what you think is a legitimate message you'd like to share with the group send it to me via e-mail and I'll decided on it.

Camaraderie. Conversation. Fresh Air & Exercise
Join us for an opportunity to meet new people while getting outdoors. Kids are welcome. Fido too on his/her leash where allowed. On Sundays we usually stick close to Denver with 2 hour hikes offering great Colorado scenery and views. You will sometimes get to see big horn sheep (like on the Quandary climb), hawks soaring overhead (like from dinosaur Ridge) , wildflowers in the spring, and songbirds in the forest. We usually stop off for lunch on the way home.
We have different hikes. Mostly, we do moderate hikes in the foothills with 300 to 600 feet elevation gain. Decent trail shoes or boots are recommended along with some extra clothing, a snack and some water.
When we have a larger group we usually split it into two groups going opposite ways.
Please assess each the outing based on your abilities, gear and physical conditioning. Same for the kids if they plan to come along. Join the group and I'll email you the hike details, directions to the park-n-ride we're using and directions to the trailhead each week so you can make your plans.
NOTICE: It is winter now. We will continue to have activities during the winter months but be aware of the weather. If there is any doubt check any activity ON THE MORNING OF to see if it has been canceled!!!!
On Saturdays we'll be doing some progressively more difficult things as winter takes over like snowshoeing or X-skiing
Are you active and positive about life? And are you looking for others who are fun, fit, mature, professional, laid back, positive thinkers that are over 40 and just want to make new friends? Let's get together and work out a calendar filled with skiing, camping, hiking, snow shoeing, dancing, socializing, etc.
Due to a couple of recent (and rare) incidents I have added the following to the group description.
The Grey Wolves is not a singles group and especially it is not a dating group. There are unmarried people and married couples in the group. Our gatherings are not about trolling for dates, sex and such. Harassing behavior is not tolerated. A wide range of activities is encouraged, but I don't allow commercial, religious, political or overtly sexual gatherings on the Grey Wolves calendar. There are plenty of other meetup groups where these things are available.
Welcome!
One of the amazing things about Denver is that there are so many hiking trails nearby that you can work a full day, do a really nice, scenic hike after work, and still have time to go out for dinner afterward and get home at a reasonable hour! This Meetup Group will focus on doing that with an experienced hike leader and a friendly bunch of hikers. Any ADULT is welcome.
As the Organizer of this Meetup Group, I am a certified hike leader for the Colorado Mountain Club (CMC—see http://hikingdenver.net ), and I've led a large number of hikes for the CMC and this Meetup group. Click on the Photos link to see photos of our previous after-work hikes.
Most of the time, the event will consist of a hike in the Denver area that is approximately 3-4 miles and ~1000' elevation gain, more or less, starting around 6:00-6:30pm, with a moderate pace, and followed by dinner at a nearby restaurant for those that are interested. Usually we meet directly at the trailhead (directions will be provided), although on some occasions we may meet in town and carpool to the trailhead. When a hike event is posted, specific details will be provided about the hike location, trail mileage, elevation gain, and driving distance to trailhead. PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP FOR A HIKE UNLESS YOU ARE ON THE ROSTER (i.e. Yes RSVP, but not Wait Listed). I like to have about 30 people, more-or-less, on the hikes, so while I typically limit a hike to a much higher number, due to last minute cancellations we usually end up with roughly 30 people actually showing up. UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED in the hike posting, DOGS WILL BE ALLOWED on the hike as long as they are friendly, on a leash, and keep up with the pace of the group, and you must pick up after your dog.
HIKE PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BRING ADEQUATE GEAR FOR THE HIKE, including hiking boots or trail running shoes, and a pack with drinking water, rain gear, extra clothing in case it gets colder (remember that it gets cooler after sunset), a flashlight or headlamp, and maybe a first aid kit, whistle, trekking poles, insect repellant, and sunglasses. In the winter months, you may need traction devices for you boots such as Micro Spikes. Most, but not all, of these hikes will be within cell phone range. Be aware that sometimes the trails may be muddy--you may wish to bring an extra pair of shoes to change into after the hike, esp. if you're joining us for dinner afterwards. My after-work hikes are generally safe, as they are on trail and not technically difficult. Nonetheless, to protect myself, everyone participating in the hike must agree to a waiver (click here to see waiver).
IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER, I may cancel a hike late in the afternoon on the day of the hike, in which case I will update the website and send out an email to those registered. Therefore, you will need to either have access to either the Meetup.com website and/or your emails (make sure your spam filter is not blocking emails from meetup.com), or you call me on my cell (I'll email my cell # to people who RSVP Yes). Generally, I'll try to make a go/no go decision a couple hours before the hike. Often, it may be raining at 5pm and clear up by 6:30pm, so it is possible I may not cancel a hike, but we show up at the trailhead and the weather is still bad, in which case we'd skip the hike and go straight to happy hour/dinner.

Meet other local ski and snowboard buffs to talk gear, share stories, find carpools, and plan outings. This group is open to anyone, not just people new to Colorado. We host HH for people to meet each other prior to carpooling, going on trips, or condoing/rooming together on overnight trips. Check out the calendar for future events. Your welcome to put messages on the board for the group to read.
Welcome, Active Outdoors Fans!
The Denver Trail Heads is a group for people with a wide array of interests in the outdoors. We will be hiking, snowshoeing, camping, cross country skiing, etc. Occasionally you will see a backpack or camping trip or an overnight at one of the many Forest Service cabins. We might even meet for an occasional cocktail and will have quarterly planning meetings so members can get involved in planning and leading events.
To date, we have had over 500 events. These trips were all made possible by our organizers. We work hard to organize trips and make them fun for you. The tone of an event is set by the organizer. Hiking speed, number of breaks, fitness level required, picture taking, dog friendly, etc. Sometimes it is not as much the location or type of event, but who is running it that will determine if it is the event for you.
If you have an idea for a trip or you are interested in becoming an organizer, please let me know. We are always looking for qualified organizers to help out!
Please RSVP yes only if you definitely plan to come. If you change your mind, please update your RSVP.
By joining this group you agree to the policies and terms of the group. You must acknowledge the polices and terms before you can join an event. The policies and terms can be found here.
We do not charge members a fee to join the group. We request a $2 donation per weekend event, $1 for after work events. If you sign up for an event and drop out within 24 hours or do not show up, there is a $3 fee to remain in the group. A lot of work goes into planning events. There is also a cost to maintain the group. If everyone takes on a small share, we can keep the group growing and continue to offer high quality events for you to enjoy.
The Denver Trail Heads proudly welcome Denver Ski Bus as a sponsor. Please visit their website by clicking here
Denver Ski Bus partnered with the Denver Trail Heads group and offers its members and exclusive 15% discount on all its ski shuttle trips. Contact your group organizer to receive your promo code.
We are always looking for group sponsors. If you know of a group or organization that would like to sponsor the Denver Trail Heads, please let me know. We have several sponsorship programs that can be tailored to fit a wide variety of needs.
Meet other Denver-area singles! We're all about getting together to have a good time without any pressure. Whether you are looking for a relationship or a way to make new friends, we'll try to offer something for everyone. Come hang out with us, experience new things, and have FUN!

Hi all!
We are into our 2011 riding season and our group continues to grow in numbers. I imagine that we are now close to or have become the largest cycling club in the Denver and Front Range area. As a result, make sure to check the calendar frequently for new as well as last minute ride postings-there is alot going on!
DFC welcomes ALL LEVELS..not kidding..(complete newbies, intermediates, and advanced) of road cyclists and mtn bikers. I started out as a super slow person who didn't even know what she didn't know...so I truly love helping others get started or become more advanced:) Please ask me any questions that you have about cycling!
Please email me if you would like to try out leading rides or become a regular part of the leadership of the club (jennabike@mindspring.com)
Also, if you have a camera, take photos at the rides and post them!
And finally, I want to thank every member for being active and helping to spread the word about our nice group of people who do care about each other's success on rides no matter what level of rider you are.
Thanks for joining DFC! It is going to be a great summer:)

The Denver Free Spanish Network - Spanish Language Meetup helps beginners, intermediate, and advanced speakers improve their skills in the Spanish language. We sponsor twice-weekly conversation groups (Mondays and Wednesdays), cultural activities, study groups and other Spanish-related activities. We meet in private homes, restaurants or coffeehouses. Beginners, intermediate, advanced and native speakers are welcome. There is never a charge to attend an event. Join us and practice your Spanish language skills!
If you are looking to meet people, explore new activities, or enjoy your favorite activities then this a group for you!
Our participants are active singles & couples with activities that might include all types of local events:
Culture, Hiking, Brunches, Music Concerts, Biking, Art Exhibits, Happy Hours, Skiing/Boarding, History, Festivals, Dog Park, 1st Friday Art Walks, Game Nights, Theater, Camping, Museums, Dinners & Dining Out, Dancing, Movies, Symphony, Breakfasts, live Jazz, live music, bands, Concerts, tours of local places like Celestial Seasonings-Molly Brown House-Botanic gardens, sports, day excursions, overnight trips, Crusies, indoor or outdoor activities, Volleyball in the Park, local or international travel (Planes, Trains, & Automobiles), brewery or winery tours, Sporting Events, wine & beer tastings, Holiday caroling, Christmas carols, murder mystery shows, Bronco or Avalanche games, etc ...
Although this meetup is under a number of topics including the singles & couples keywords, the focus of the group to allow people to meet each other in an enjoyable setting ... new (or not so new) to the Denver /Colorado Area regardless of whether you are a couple or a single. We do not have an age minimum or maximum ... some things gravitate towards certain age groups and some activities are enjoyed by all ... let get going doing things, having fun and meeting people!
We are very inclusive ... if you want to participate, then we have room for you whether as a particpant or organizer or just about anything ... So we are always looking for & needing people with ideas who would like to share them or even help host events (ie: event organizers, hosts, helpers) ... please email us your ideas or willingness to help organize events :oP
We found a lot of meetup groups are fairly rigid in their policies about how things should be run or the way things should be done ... this group is easy. If you want to do it, then we want to help make it happen. It is the group for the sort of people who like the outdoors and or the indoors ... the mountains as well as the city culture, the arts ... If we are missing a topic, let us know!! If you organize your own meetup and want to cross post an event let us know :o)
Most of the meet ups will be at no cost (ie: Free) and some will have a fees associated. When advance payment is necessary, we have set up a payment option through paypal.
We do not discriminate based on age ... we have people in their 20's all the way into their 60's and everywhere in between ... we are looking for fun people looking to interact with others ... age is all too often a state of mind.

Denver's Largest Wine Group with almost 1400 meetup members!
UncorkedDenver.com/Denver Wine Meetup hosts a monthly "wine and food pairing social" exclusively for hip "Young Professionals" (mostly late 20's through 40's) at an "upscale" venue or restaurant. Our crowd is there to make new friends with their peers in addition to learn about wine. Our goal is to do something a step or two above the very average "grab a drink in a bar" type groups without the snobbery of high end wine organizations. Our events pair wines with great appetizers at an upscale restaurant in Metro Denver, many times with the winemaker at the event. Sorry: Our events are not a "trade tasting", a grab a glass happy hour, nor do we cater to all demographics.
UncorkedDenver.com/Denver Wine Meetup hosts "wine social" events for young/mid professionals that focus on a handful of wines by region, varietals, winery or theme paired with food. Sometimes we have a little education by a sommelier to explain the wines and region but we keep 90% of the event to drinking wine and socializing.
We have the fun party atmosphere of friendly young professionals at a mixer type event, meeting and socializing over wine at a more upscale event. Everyone is welcome to attend, single, coupled, etc. There is a place for all young professionals interested in drinking and learning about wine. Many of our events sell out in advance and have 70-100 or more in attendance depending on the type of event. All events are adults only, over 21 through 40's (give a year or two into 50's....so we kindly would like to relay.....if you are not in the intended demographic, please check out a group that fits the your demographic on the meetup. Our members are paying for tickets to meet folks in their demographic along with enjoying great wine. Thanks).

We are a group of volleyball players in the metro Denver area. We organize games for players on grass, sand, outdoor and indoor. It is primarily for drop-in play, but we also have tournaments and clinics. Currently we have drop-in volleyball in many areas of the metro Denver area at a variety of levels. We would like to have drop-in in all cities in the metro Denver area. If you would like to be a Asst. Organizer for this group and sponsor meetups, please contact me, Davido. You can email me by clicking on the 'email me' just below my picture on the left side of the meetup page. But be aware, that the meetup site doesn't always successfully forward messages.
So you may email me if you have any questions at zebrabwbwbw at yahoo.com instead if you prefer.

This group welcomes peoples of all different races, physical abilities, and sexual orientations. If you are not comfortable with this, then this is probably not a place for you.
DISCLAIMER: Activities this group are involved in can be risky. Every year people are hurt playing volleyball due to lack of stretching, uneven or slippery ground, people breaking the rules, improper or no shoes, etc. . Event organizers and leaders are regular people like you and I. We are not professional hosts, you are responsible for yourself. By signing up for an event you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own safety and will do the necessary research to understand the conditions of the event and the gear you require. Anyone choosing to play volleyball with our group should carry personal medical insurance and consult with their doctor about the advisability of playing volleyball. There have been ankle sprains and such over the years and there will be more. But whatever injuries that take place are the responsibility's of the players and not the organizers.
Weather in Colorado is unpredictable. Although they are rare, Colorado does have tornadoes and hail storms that can be life threatening. Many times storms form without warning. Check for weather conditions before you leave for an event. If you feel uncomfortable at anytime, we understand if you don't attend or wish to leave and take cover.
Personal Items: I advise against bringing expensive items such as sunglasses or other high value things as they sometimes get misplaced when the sun goes down and/or are forgotten after a long day in the sun. Some people believe that it is dangerous to wear anything but sunglasses specifically designed for sports to reduce the possibility of eye injury. Keep track of your ball and/or net or other personal items. Organizers accept no responsibility for your property. Mark your property with your name and phone number.
A few items such as sunglasses, volleyballs, blankets, fold-up chairs and other items have come up missing, usually when left at a volleyball meetup, and some of these items were never recovered. The organizers are under no requirement to pick up personal items that are left after a meetup.
I have had to turn off the message board due to spam. I have requested that meetup change the software so I can block the spam, but they have ignored my requests. If you want something added to the message board I can do that. Send a request to me.
You agree to the terms

by participating with this and all other meetup groups.
Each meetup is different so if your first meetup is not to your liking, try another. Player levels are difficult to control. If you get on a team that is not to your liking, there are others that would like to play with you.
If you would like to contribute to my costs of running this site, please contribute by clicking on the button to the left of the home page, right above my picture. I have to pay $72 every six months and also have other costs of net, balls, etc. . The standard net that we use costs about $230. Balls are about $40 each.
If you have a name that people mispronounce, put your name in phonetics next to the actual spelling on your profile.

Or, feel free to set up a Meetup for the group around something you'd like to do. I am looking for some good assistant organizers and event hosts to help put some of these events together.
In addition to the scheduled events, I will be proposing ideas for events in the "Upcoming Meetups" section, I will post these event ideas in order to get feedback from the members as "IDEA:" events. If I receive enough interest in the events, I will schedule them as an actual Meetups. I will also post other interesting and different activities that are going on the area as "FYI:" events. I'd welcome the members to attend these events on their own with friends or other members and let us know how it was. And, maybe next time we can schedule a Meetup next time.
To learn more about "Crazy in Colorado" and the events and activities I'm trying to schedule, please visit the "About" tab. I have put all this together in about 10 days and I'm still working out the kinks so bear with me. In addition to being a little bit crazy, I'm also dyslexic so please ignore the grammatical errors or let me know and I'll get them fixed.
Stay CRAZY, my friends!
Matt
PS: I'd like to thank all of the Meetup event organizers and event hosts that make these events possible. I know it takes a lot of time and effort to put these events together. Thanks!
We are a statewide, permanent, non-partisan Tea Party activist group. We are not affiliated with any political party. We support the Constitution, private property, free markets and free speech. It will take more than periodic protests to turn back the tide of madness from Washington, it will take ongoing and dedicated effort! This group exists to build and sustain that effort. We are building local chapters in counties, home towns, and neighborhoods around the state. We are putting a grassroots organization in place for the long struggle ahead of us. If the Tea Party movement fragments into small groups working at cross-purposes, the powerful and well-funded anti-liberty political forces will continue to roll over us, continue to destroy this nation. On the other hand, if we work together, we can become a force to be reckoned with, we can turn back the tide of spending and power-grabbing, we can save our country. A place for singles thirtyish to fiftyish to get inspired and informed about creating extraordinary relationships by learning and sharing how to navigate the minefield called dating combined with something like speed dating, only better!
First of all, we have a topic at each Meetup. (Say, for instance, "What Are Your Dating Dilemmas.") Then a question is asked for each small group of 4 - 6 folks to debate... such as, "What are your top 3 dating dilemmas?" So while you're getting to know each other in your small groups, and sharing your thoughts on the topic, people are learning and getting to meet other eligible singles at the same time!
Then, we change who we sit with for a total of 3 times during the two hour format! What's not to love about meeting lots of new people, learning lots about the world of dating and love, and having tons of fun to boot?!
So bring your dating questions, successes, and not-so-great stories so that you can figure out what you're doing that you should repeat, and what you should quit doing ASAP! After all, we are all the common denominator in all our relationships and unfortunately, many of us tend to repeat our relationship patterns over and over again even if they prove to be unsuccessful.
So join a group of those who want to glean the answers! We'll discuss everything from Internet Dating profiles, to first date do's and don'ts (so that you get that crucial second date), ideas about how to meet people, how to detect Red Flag behaviors that should be telling you to move on when maybe you just keep hanging on to the wrong mate, and so much more. With a mix of guys and gals you can get that helpful opposite sex insight that we all think we know but are sometimes oh so wrong on!
Maybe your dream date will be sitting right next to you at the meeting! So bring your smile and any questions you've got! It's only $10!
And who am I, your leader? Check out my broader site regarding everything relating to Dating, Mating, and Relating at www.RelationshipWIZE.com! And you will discover my story of how I became a dating expert while you're there too.
Colorado Things To Do is for everyone. This is not a singles only group. We have many members who are married, single with and without kids, and members of all ages.
We try to provide a large variety of events for all members. We highly encourage feedback to provide more interests. So of the interests we current provide are as follows:
Camping, fishing, museums, concerts, art galleries, dining out, comedy clubs, skiing/snowboarding, sporting events, dancing, family/kid friendly events, and just about anything you can thing of. Even some happy hours.
Check out the calender for future events.
We do post discussion groups for everyone to discuss future events. We also do polls, to help drive the group to see what is in demand. So if you have a few moments, to check the discussion groups out and the polls, please do!
At most events, we try to take pictures if possible. I know some people bring theirs as well. If you have any pictures, you would like to post, PLEASE DO!!
Welcome to Denver Social Climb!
We're a group for all skill levels of climbing whether you've never climbed before but think it might be fun, or you're a sponsored pro looking for belayers. Our Motto, a famous climbing quote, is "the best climber is always the one having the most fun climbing safely". We regularly have both outdoor and indoor events for skill levels ranging from pure beginners to expert levels in a variety of styles (top rope, sport, trad).
Our pure beginner events (clearly marked as beginner events) start with a quick intro so you can get belay certified in the indoor gym (very easy 5 minute test), learning how to climb safely, and are often followed a few days later, in warmer months, by early beginner outdoor events. The more advanced events frequently involve a variety of sport and trad outdoor climbing in one of the many climbing destinations around the area, but may extend to weekend camping/climbing trips. There's something for everyone, no matter what your skill level!
For reference, it's assumed when climbing indoors that you either rented shoes, harness, and belay device from the main desk, or have your own. For outdoor events you must have your own shoes, harness, and belay device while other outdoor climbing gear will be negotiated on a per event basis with the event organizer (ropes, draws, etc are often shared).
Come to some events, meet some great people, and have an amazing time!
And the disclaimer all rock climbing guides include: rock climbing is an inherently dangerous sport and though we take every precaution, injury is always a possibility. If you don't know what's safe, we'll teach you, but in many ways it's up to you to practise safe climbing, we take no responsibility.
This is a sociable group targeted at riders of all levels of ability. The main purpose is to have fun, but improve your techniques.
For 2010 there will be a $1 per ride fee to help fund the subscription fees required to run the site. Please ensure that you bring along your fees at the start of every ride... the penalty for failing to pay is buying the first round of beers at the post ride venue !!!
This dynamic, interactive group meets monthly on the 3rd Friday of the month from 7:30am – 9:00am.
Each event focuses on different Social Marketing techniques, tools and strategies to help businesses better understand and maximize the ROI of their Social Marketing programs. Whether you are new to Social Marketing or are a seasoned veteran, this group will provide valuable insights into how to become more successful.

Denver Friends is a hip crowd looking for a good time whether it be friends, business or dating. Our ultimate goal is that you meet some new friends and have some fun!
If you have an idea for a meetup, please post it. As soon as three people RSVP, it will post and you will be the 'Host' for the event.
If you are in a position to donate towards the cost of running the group, awesome. If you aren't, no problem. We appreciate your membership and hope that you will find being a member very rewarding.
Since starting this group in 2008, a lot has changed. I was tempted to start a new group completely and start from scratch but this was my 'baby' and even though I had a 'real baby' and stopped doing so much with the group, it is still very near and dear to my heart.
I'd like to have monthly organizer meetings where I can help get some individuals interested in leadership opportunities get started on hosting their own events through Denver Friends. It costs about $150 a year to run a group on Meetup and since we already have the group, let's work together and get some great events on the calendar!
Also since starting this group, I took ownership of a bar/restaurant/nightclub. The coolest thing about this is I no longer have to haggle with bar owners about extending happy hour or giving us food specials or reserving us space...'cuz NOW I can make all the deals myself. And I beat EVERYONE out there just for putting me through all the hassles I went through for years running this group. :) So, you will see a lot of events hosted at Alameda Grille because trust me, no one will extend happy hour and give great deals like I will. :)
On a side note, if you are a DJ, Promoter, Event Planner of any kind and would like to inquire about working with Alameda Grille, just email me.
If you want to host a bachelorette/bachelor party, birthday party, going away party, any kind of celebration up to about 80 (in our upstairs bar) or 425+ for the whole club, please let me know. I'm thinking of hosting monthly birthday parties for DF members as a collective. If this sounds like something you'd like to do, just holla!
*Physically active; *Love the Outdoors;*Up for Live Music, happy hour, ball games and the local scene, *Educated and successful; *Outgoing and fun!
Find more like-minded people. Join us for a monthly mix of social, outdoor and local scene activities!
If you're interested in organizing an event let me know!
Denver Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is a women's social group for "Girls" in their mid-twenties through forties who want to leave business, babies, and the boys at home and enjoy making friends while exploring all that Denver and the surrounding area have to offer. If you are new in town, are looking for some girlfriends, or just want to experience more of the Mile High City this group is for you. We will do a wide variety of events...the ballet, theater, wine tasting, shopping, game night, weekends to the mountains, and whatever else we feel up to. We will try to buy tickets to events as a group to get great discounts and will participate in activities with a wide range of costs. There will be a $2.00 per event fee to cover the cost of the Meetup fees. If you have an idea or something you've been wanting to do, please email me! Come join us and let's have some fun together!
This is a place to meet other locals interested in Urban Homesteading and simple living skills like food preservation, caring for livestock, wilderness survival, alternative energy, edible landscaping, permaculture, container gardening...
The group is apolitical (no politics unless there is an issue-based discussion that affects urban homesteading, such as laws regulating the keeping of animals), non-denominational (we welcome all religions, including the non-religious), and all-inclusive (from complete beginner to experienced homesteader).
Like many of you, I'm new at this and am eager to learn and meet other folks who are going down this path as well. So if you have something to share with the group or just want to learn, I hope you join up and start attending some meetups. You don't have to be a hardcore homesteader; we all have to start somewhere.
Sound like something you'd be interested in? Join up!

Meet others who are interested in local cultural, social, athletic, Night Life, or other types of activities. Discuss, visit, participate in various social activities with others from the North Metro area. Members are encouraged to lead or volunteer for events. Activities such as: Happy Hours, Horseback Riding, Night Clubs, Skiing/Boarding/Riding, Dance Spots, Hiking, Coffee Spots, Concerts, Bars/Pubs, and really anything you all can think of that people want to do from the north side of the Denver Metro area. Use it to find or create carpools to fun stuff in other parts of town too!
Meet kindred book lovers in the Denver Book Club Meetup Group. You'll read and discuss a selected book every month as we alternate between fiction and nonfiction.
For a list of the books we've read since 2007, please click here: http://meetup.com/denverbookclub/abou...
Books are chosen democratically by the members themselves through monthly nominations and votes. We only read books available in used bookstores and libraries. We do not allow any marketing messages at any time. Our choice to be a "commercial-free zone" helps explain why we have more than 900 members. The main reasons are great people and lively conversations at our gatherings.
We meet the fourth Thursday evening of every month in the historic Denver Press Club downtown. We ask $3 per person at the door, and no one is turned away. You do not need to read all or any of the selected book to attend and enjoy the conversation.
Please join us to laugh, share wisdom, gain insights, and make wonderful new friends!

If you accept the natural over the supernatural, reality over mythology, and evidence over faith, then you're in the right place. Please join this group of like-minded folks to discuss these and other relevant ideas. We welcome anyone from Atheists to Agnostics, Free-Thinkers, Humanists and Skeptics. Anyone with a rational worldview is encouraged to join and attend our meetups.
My name is Bridget Ellis and I am a local instructor deeply embedded in Denver's scene. I wanted to start this Meet Up so I can continue to help build a strong and commited Salsa community. We really have some great dancers but are always welcoming new people!
I'll be hosting events around town and keeping you all up to date on what's going on in Denver's Salsa scene. I can also introduce you not only to the city's best dancers but the nicest dancers. Dancers with attitude need not apply! :)
The goal? Have fun, learn to dance well, travel, dance some more, meet cool people, listen and learn more about Salsa music and history...and yes, dance some more.
Meet others in the Denver/ Metro area that love the game of Soccer/Futbol.
We play pickup games anytime, anywhere YOU would like to schedule them.
Unlike many other groups you'll see on meetup, most people never register for pickup games and show up bringing several friends. If you see only a few, there will be many more attending. You won't be disappointed.
Our first motto: "A Máxima Diversão! Excelente!"
translates from Portuguese to "Maximum fun! Excellent!" This was a comment left by a new member that describes the camaraderie, respectful nature, international flavor and diversity of the group. Diversity is a value we fiercely honor, respect and promote.
Our second motto: PASS THE BALL!
We play in a style the that's informal, friendly & encouraging with an emphasis is on fun, good sportsmanship and low stress. We are more cooperative than competitive. No sliding, no hacking, no uber-aggro players wanted. This is a light, fun game and no one here any injuries.
If you are looking for intensive competition, there is an expert pickup hosted by Nas every day at 5pm on the West side of Washington Park.
Our third motto: Be Cool/Keep It Positive!
We strive to be beginner friendly, encouraging, focused on having fun and sharing a passion for the game. Beginner friendly means we welcome beginners and those of all skills and abilities. It does not mean that anyone needs to hold back on their skills. If you are starting out and could use some skill tips or practice, please ask. Many of the Organizers are willing to do so, or can help you find someone who is. You are welcome to schedule a Beginner event any time you like.
Bring a reversible or light and dark shirt (if possible) so we can tell who is on who's team.
Bring plenty of water!
Many of us like wearing shin guards and soccer cleats, but they're certainly not required.
Just come and play!

This is a chance for runners to get together and try out new routes, new training plans, or just enjoy the company of other runners. It will be especially nice to help motivate each other during the winter months. If you love running with others or have never done it before, give it a shot! All ability levels welcome.
This group is for young adults, adventurous, fun people who are looking to meet new people in the area. Both males and females are welcome to join. We hope to plan two events each month and encourage you to share your ideas on what you'd like to do!
Hi
Welcome to Second Wind Getaway! I am glad you have joined this group.
This is an open group where anyone can post ideas and plan events.
Thanks,
Greg
This meetup group is an extension of Up The Creek Ski & Rec Club. Up The Creek is a non-profit ski & recreation club that has been in existence for over 35 years. We are run by volunteers and have various weekend and day trips all year round. In the Winter, ski and snowboarding trips. In the summer we have boating and camping trips, weekly hiking, biking, volleyball, and tennis groups. We have numerous parties throughout the year and have a happy hour every Friday at a different bar or restaurant in the Denver Area. General Membership club meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month. You don't have to be a member to attend any of our events, guests are always welcome!
Welcome to the Baby Boomers Social Club. Our main appeal is to Boomers (persons born between 1946 and 1964), but anyone who likes to have fun and wants to share an interest, sport, hobby or activity with others is invited to join. Whether you like to dance, dine, hike, or drink coffee, we're open to your ideas. It's a great way for like-minded people to join the fun. Hope to meet you at the next event!
Come join us as we explore Colorado (and Beyond) with others who enjoy Backpacking and Camping.
Our backpacking trips will involve hiking a mile or much more from a trailhead to locations in the Colorado wilderness. These trips will require backpacks, tents, sleeping bags and other gear and food that you will be carrying on your back needed to keep you fed, warm and dry. We practice Leave No Trace principles to leave the wilderness as pristine (or better) than we found it. Please be prepared with all the gear you will need to enjoy (and survive) Mother Nature. Backpacking participants will need to be over 18 (Unless a family member is going) and pets may not be allowed on some of our backpacking trips, uncheck the regulations on each particular trip. Please read the descriptions of each trip to note the experience level required for that trip. Our main focus is on backpacking… but we include some camping year around (we are one of the few groups that goes winter camping). We try to have short over nighters to Longer backpacks for those with more experence on the Calendar. We encourge members to become trip orginizers - you could have the trip of the year ready to go - Contact the Group Organizer for how to to this.
Specail Note: We are here to have a safe group to go into the wilderness with others that you can trust. We have one main rule - Respect! (failure to follow this one rule can get you banned) This is why we have so much fun as we always show respect for each others, the forest, the park, the others on the trail.. respect!
When we do have our camping trips will include those trips where you can drive up to or very close to the campsite. Some of the trips may involve visiting established campgrounds with water, campfire rings, restroom facilities and fees (contributions will be requested to help defray the reservation costs). Other car camping trips may involve using campsites with no facilities but also no reservation fees. Adults, kids and pets are normally invited to these camping trips, but please read the description of each trip and contact the organizer for that trip if you have any questions. Please be aware that pets are not allowed on trails in some areas See our guidlines for Dogs in the notes. Most other locations in Colorado require that your pet be leashed/restrained at all times. NOTE: if just camping is your main interest, we welcome you to join us but please also look at our other meet up groups focused on TENT CAMPERS of Colorado Meetup as you may find more "camping" trips with this groups.
We hope you will join us in our exploration of Colorado. We always welcome more event organizers to plan and lead trips.
Singles, singles, singles - if you are looking to meet the RIGHT person to date - this is the group for you!!! How would you like to go on 2 years worth of first dates in 1 night???
With this you can quickly see who you click with and want to see again for quality second dates!
Our Meetup group is designed for you to meet one-on-one with other singles in a fun, organized setting so you can find dates with people you like!!
You will meet new singles at every event - unlike other groups where you end up seeing the same people over and over. We do this through separate events for returning men and for returning women so you meet with new singles when you return.
We have events for singles in their 20's, 30's, 40's, and 50's. Are you ready to go on a bunch of mini-dates in 1 night with other singles around your age??
Our group provides opportunities for networking on mostly on a social level for young to mid professionals 20's through 40's/early 50's. We offer a variety of formats to provide something comfortable and fun for everyone. We host social networking events, wine tasting socials, and ski days for business professionals, entrepreneurs and business owners.
Please note: This is a NO PITCH group. If your intent is to find people to pitch your business, MLM or products, please remove yourself from our group.
Denver Day Hikers is a group of folks who love the Colorado outdoors. Although we primarily hike, we also love other outdoor activities—from downtown walking tours to snowshoeing to rafting. Join the group to have access to all our hikes and meet some super awesome people in the process!
Our hikes vary from in the mountains to around the Metro area. Although we occasionally do some easier hikes, most of our outings are moderate to strenuous. And occasionally, we may plan out-of-town excursions for 14ers, Great Sand Dunes NP, Mesa Verde NP/Durango, Crested Butte, and other things.
Excepting expenses anyone would incur when hiking (gas/carpool money, food, park entrance, gear, etc), this group is FREE. No organizer will ever ask you to pay or donate just to attend an outing. We simply love being outside and want to share the experience with others.
We are not professional guides and all outings are at your own risk. You understand that, by joining this group and attending any event, you are responsible for your own safety. References to proper gear and safety checklists can be found under our files section (more > files) as well as a release of liability. We also highly recommend you carry your own medical and auto insurance policies as well as a Colorado Outdoors Recreation Search and Rescue (CORSAR) card.
NOTE: Please make sure to review the attendance policy under more > files. Members who no show three times will be removed from the group.
"An adventure is an inconvenience rightly perceived"
A bunch of adventurous people who want to grow our group of outdoor friends and learn more about their different outdoor interests.
We want to be a diverse group of outdoor enthusiasts and not just sequestered to one area of expertise. In the same breath we want to become a close knit community of people who enjoy life together in and out of doors, and year round.
People who are interested in various outdoor activities, changing each month: Rock Climbing, Mountain Biking (fruita/ moab/frontrange), Hut Trips in both summer and winter (snowshoeing), Hiking 14ers, Fly Fishing, National Park Sight Seeing, Weekend Camping, Whitewater Rafting, Snowboarding/ Skiing, Wakeboard, 1/2 Marathons, zip lining, or anything else we can think of that might be fun!!!
Fascinology: noun, the study of fascinating things- that is to say, exploring new things and places and enjoying the company of strangers. Sort of a carpe diem endeavor.
I couldn't find a group for the sort of people who like the outdoors AND city culture/the arts, so I made this one. This group is to meet with like-minded people, particularly those around my age (20s- 30s) in all of the hobbies and activities I enjoy. These include:
Hiking trips
Parties
board/card games
Camping/backpacking
gallery/museum trips
Skiing/boarding
instructional bookbinding classes
trying new restaurants
coffee breaks
arts/crafts/photography trips
thrift store/antique shopping
farmer's market trips
frisbee in the park
music/shows/dancing/movies
orgies. Just kidding, no orgies. Sorry.
About me: I'm female, 26 years old, and a bookbinder by trade. I'm kind of the sarcastic/ intellectual/ nerdy / arty/ fairly normal type. I like all sorts of activities so if you find a couple things you like on my list come out and enjoy them with me. I now have several co-conspirators to this group, so the range of activities is broader than ever- your suggestions are always welcome.
Also, please visit our sister group in south Denver HERE. We often share activities, but this group is situated mainly in Denver Metro while the other group is mainly situated around Littleton.
This is a social networking group for those in their 20s and 30s who want to have fun, meet new people and build new friendships. Wether you're new to the area or have lived here for years we'd like to meet you! MeetUps are held throughout Denver and the surrounding area. Activities include exploring restaurants and coffee shops, pot-lucks in the park, hikes, happy hours and more.
This group is for anyone in North Denver, Broomfield, Westminster, Boulder, or the surrounding area who wants to network or meet new people and most importantly have fun while doing it! If you enjoy meeting others and live in the area then come join us for some fun! All ideas are welcome for activities such as live music, happy hour, bowling, skiing/snowboarding, or practically anything social and fun.
Meet others who are interested in local Night Life.
We will start the year off in the heart of it all... good ole' downtown Denver. Throughout the year though, we will explore all of the good spots and surrounding areas from DTC to Stapleton to... Boulder? Even a night up in the mountains for a little Casino style fun! Consider it a state tour of the hottest places and by 2011, you will be able to party anywhere and everywhere :)
Since this group is for the true party people, we will visiting both the classic locations and evaluating the new spots; dancing at the hot spots, and taking over the not there yet spots... We will bring the party, so its always going to be a lot of fun!!!
Please remember to drink responsibly and drive safe- buzzed is not safe, so take turns as the DD. Nightlife does NOT mean drinking:it means "after hours fun"- so we will be sure to have events of many styles!
If you would like to help plan events, LET ME KNOW! I would love the help of some great assistant organizers:)

Please be mindful when you RSVP for our events. We put a lot of time and effort into organizing fun and interesting meetups for you, so please only RSVP for events that you absolutely plan to attend. If something comes up and you realize you won't be able to come, please update your RSVP so we know not to expect you. Thanks so much for your consideration!
Our group enjoys taking long walks on the beach, watching the sunset STOP! Wrong group!
Have you been looking for a co-ed group of mountain bikers with a lower skill level than that of the x-games, that like the dirt and don't mind going slower? Even walk up or down some technical sections and don't care! Then this is the group for you! Keep in mind this is mountain biking and not flat dirt path around the lake group.
We like to ride bikes, improve our skills, get a work out, not be sore for the next 5 days, one or two days is ok, and enjoy the company we are with! We ride trails that are not treacherous climbs and descents that you see on x-games but do have rocks and roots going through them. Because of the easier riding we do, we ride year around. We also do last minute rides that can be a blast! Some of the places we ride are the Jefferson County Parks, Bear Creek lake, Moab, Buffalo Creek and many, many more.
If you get winded walking through the mall at a brisk pace this may not be the group for you. This is a friendly fun group ride, a bit like the marines, no one is left behind (as long as you sign up for an appropriate level ride). Be sure to have your bike in good running condition so you don't hold the group up with foreseeable bike problems. We really enjoy trouble free rides! Please take the time to look at the message board to find out what is expected of each rider as far as rules of the trail and how to be prepared for your ride. We also use our own rating system for trails. Be sure to check it out!
Our level rating system incorporates aerobic and technical into one. Level 1-3 are considered beginner levels, 4-6 intermediate and 7-10 are advanced. We seldom do 7 or 8 and have never done 9 or 10. Levels 9 and 10 are going to be the scariest, nastiest trails you have ever seen, even compared to x-games. LMB's level system suggests skills you should have in order to go on that level ride and have a good time. Because you are unfamiliar with this rating system, we suggest you start out with an easier ride then you think and move up as you find things too easy. Most everyone that knows how to ride a bike in a parking lot or a groomed dirt path is a level 0, if your board with the paths and want more challenge then try a level 1 or 2. Anyone who has not biked regularly on mountain bike trails regardless of fitness level should not sign up for any rides above a level 3.
If your new to riding in a group you will want to start out with a slightly easier ride then what you are use to. Riding in a group has its own challenges and rewards and will take a little getting use too before you are comfortable. In a group you will be riding at the groups pace and not your own. Some people prefer riding in a group and some don't, you will have to figure out what works and what doesn't for you. The ride leaders will adjust the pace of the group when needed but it will always be close to the level that is posted.
We encourage new riders. That being said we also encourage more experienced riders. In order to meet the group in the middle the new riders will have to work pretty hard to keep up and the more experienced ones will have to have some patience. Better riders can bring cameras and take some pictures of the things you normally miss when you are burning up the trail. Keep in mind that we will not make an easy ride into a fast pace ride just for one or two people wanting to go fast and vice versa.
If you're just getting started riding mountain bikes this might be a little tough for you. We can give help or advice if you want but this is not a class, we want to ride as much as anyone. Please come prepared to mountain bike, appropriate clothing, helmet, gloves etc. I suggest that you be able to operate your people power machine effectively before trying mountain biking. You must understand how to shift the gears as well as knowing when you should. We have had 20 year old no suspension bikes that kicked but on a full suspension newer bike. The bike does not make a good rider. On the flip side if you have no mountain biking skills, shifting, climbing, descents, braking but on a new bike you will have some trouble. The trails will have some steep sections both up and down with some obstacles even on the easy rides. Most of the trails will be single track, about 1-2 feet wide. I really don't mind if you have to walk up or down them but keep in mind this is not a hiking group. I like to climb hills in a low gear but I do shift up as it flattens out, not saying I'm in any danger of a speeding ticket but I like to keep it moving forward. Think of really narrow 4x4 trails and that will probably give you a good idea of what the "beginner-easy" is. The best thing is to come out and look at it, if it is too hard then you can always turn and go back. The places that we go most of the time will be people friendly and we'll run into other bikers as well as hikers and horses. Please, at this time or unless it is posted that it is ok, please leave your k-9 friend at home. There are too many things going on with the group, newer riders that don't feel comfortable riding around loose dogs on single track. There is also a lot of foot traffic and other trail users that need the dogs to be on leash not to mention park rules. It is just too hard to ride and hold a leash, not to mention its hard on the dogs to keep the pace.
MISSION: This is all about gathering an AWESOME group of women to just hang out and enjoy ourselves. The goal is to meet new friends, do new things, relax and have FUN!!
ORGANIZATION: We have several members collaborating together to make this a unique group with many different types of events. Instead of one person planning all their favorite activities for a group, this group is 'what you make of it'. Want to plan some events yourself? Awesome! We have an organizer who organizes the organizers for that- so everyone can get a piece of the glory and the fun :)
FEEDBACK: We love it! The more the better. Just, please remember that we are doing this for FREE and PAYING to run this group- so keep it constructive if you can since we are doing our best. Thanks!

If you're really good, or your just beginning you're going to find something with us. We look forward to sharing climbing tips, places and events with all of you. Please let us know if you want to request a climb and I'll get it up.

Casual Cocktails is open to everyone who wants to make new friends. Our group meets a few times each month over drinks and/or dinner. Most of our activities take place in the suburbs North of Denver. Most of our members are in our 30's or 40's, but we welcome anyone who can keep up.
Our monthly events include 2 types of events:
For our "Casual Cocktails" events, we meet for a happy hour event over cocktails. These events are bigger in size and are a fun way to meet alot of interesting people.
For our Dozen for Dinner events, we schedule a monthly dinner for 12 people to share a meal. The idea is to have a more intimate setting with a smaller group where we have the opportunity to really talk to everyone in attendance.
We have also started doing at least one "Charity" event each quarter. (If you have any special requests, please email me.)
Our events are free to attend! You are only responsible for the food and or drinks that you order.
Get out of the house, meet new people, and join the fun!
Welcome to the Denver Entrepreneur Meetup, quite possibly the friendliest Networking group for Small Business Owners in Metro Denver.
Join a group of business owners that meet to network and inspire each other to be great. Denver Entrepreneurs has been around since 2003 and we'd love to have you. Building relationships through networking is our focus. But we rock from learning the latest marketing and small business ideas from a group of experts and each other.
Why has this group has been so successful? We really care about each other. You've heard the expression, it's not personal, it's just business – the Godfather. We don't believe that. Not for a moment. People do business with people they like. That is what drives business. And people don't want to be sold. They want to buy. And buy from people they like. So, it is personal, isn't it?
So come and elevate your business to rock star status. Take some of our specifically designed workshops that will grow your business to the success you deserve. Plus get to know other small busines owners and entrepreneurs. And there is no pressure to attend, but we'd love to have you. This is a place to meet potential strategic business partners.
And by request, we are returning to our 30 second commercials – at least for now. Everyone loved our small group networking. But everyone wanted to know who they might potentially want to do business with – those strategic partners. So, be prepared to tell us who you are and how you can help others. And then get to know each other. We'll finish in plenty of time for you to do some power networking.
Want to meet other members virtually? Visit our video page.
See you soon.
"Scramblin" is a fun way of taking the path less traveled or untraveled. Meet other local hiking enthusiasts who want to start going on more moderate hikes before moving on to the more advanced trails or scrambling. We are courteous to nature but want some adventure too. In order to have a possitive experience it is recommended that you have experience hiking in general (there are other intro groups available, ask me), hiking at altitude recently and are physically fit. I am serious when I say we move at a good pace. Contact me for any questions.

You're smart, professional, independent, and....single. This group is for women in their late 20's, 30's and early 40's who may feel the pressure from family/friends or personally to hurry up and to settle down! But you are waiting for the right person. And you won't settle. And you'd love some laughs and support along the way! Who wants to do it alone? Besides, dating is way too challenging, exciting, disappointing, and humorous to not share our anecdotes. This group is for women who are looking to meet other single women for friendship, socializing, camaraderie, and for support.
I'm a Denver native, a career woman, and single! I know that there are tons of amazing single women to meet, laugh with and go out on the town! This group is for you if... - most of your girlfriends are married or in serious relationships -you're smart, driven, wonderful, and no one can understand why you're still single: but you won't settle... -you're happy, independent, successful in the ways that matter to you, but without a partner -you either want to find someone or are totally okay just where you are!
This group is for you!
P.S. It's 100% okay to join if you do have a partner, but identify with this group's purpose. Maybe you waited to find the right one, or you were one of the lucky ones to meet him early, or you married early and are single again. Either way, your company and wisdom are welcome!
Boulder Spanish Meetup! provides a consistent venue for those in the Boulder area who are interested in speaking Spanish (to learn, improve or maintain), Spanish culture, and meeting other like-minded members. All levels are welcome and represented in the current group.
***Meetings are generally each Tuesday evening in various locations with many exceptions so the best bet is to check the calendar on our site often.
***If Tuesday night is not good for you and you would like to host a meetup at your house or another location that you will organize (on any day or night that you choose), just e-mail me a description of the event and I can post it. You may also become an Assistant Organizer if you would like to do this regularly which will enable you to post events yourself. You may limit the attendees if that is a concern (if the event is in your home for example).
***If you would like to propose a particular theme to discuss for any event, include the idea in the text of your RSVP and bring any related materials if necessary to share with the group. This group will have even greater success if others get involved and participate in planning and orchestration.
Hasta pronto!

It is attended by business people using these tools as well as by developers and enthusiasts. This community can do a lot to bring business opportunities to one another
Your new organizers Tim Spencer and Corrinda Campbell would like to hear from you so that we can create great meetings.
Please take about 10 - 15 minutes to answer a few questoins, your requests are our command!

There is NO COST for these Meetups. However, because the venues typically provide the space with no facilities cost, we do ask people to purchase lunch and talk about the venue on their social media platforms.
DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS WEBSITE FOR ADVERTISEMENT OF YOUR PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, except if you would like to be a sponsor of the meetup group!!!!
From a mile high and up. We plan to get together for hikes, snow sports, water sports, camping, and maybe even some happy hours, dinners, and some dancing too. Some events will be for anyone, some will be more strenuous. Even a walk in the park right here in the metro area is an option. If you would like to do something/anything don't hesitate to make a suggestion.
I hope to attract a group of fun loving people with open minds and free spirits. This is not only for "hippies" but for anyone with a tolerant attitude, a love of the outdoors, and a desire to share it with others.
I would like assistant organizers or event hosts, and let me know if you have an event you'd like to host and/or if you'd like the "privilege" of being able to post your own events on the website.
I have a different take on my role than some organizers, which is that I try to trips with some info about the length and difficulty, set up meeting times and usually encourage ride sharing, and beyond that, I don't necessarily consider myself to be the "leader," At most I am a laissez faire leader. I do not mind people splitting into groups that go at different paces, and on up and back hikes am quite OK with people coming that won't go all the way. What I post is what I want to do, you all can decide if you want to come along for all or part of it. If you are interested in seeing if others have in mind some variation of the hike, use your yes or maybe rsvp to mention it and see if anyone else is on the same page. Circle routes are more entertaining for me as it is all new the whole trip, I like them and have some I like doing and on those I will note that we won't be meeting the less ambitious hikers as we come down.
Anyone can use the message board to post appropriate information or suggestions about trips for everyone to see and reply to.
Check the discussions to see what everyone should take on any hike with this group.
Also, please check out my other groups for drop-in volleyball and soccer.

Welcome to Love to Wine! This group was especially created with you in mind- the wine novice or even the evolving expert. Here's your Denver community group in which you can explore wines and share them within a group of non-wine snobs. Wine should be fun and so should the journey of learning and experiencing it. Love to Wine works together with wineries, restaurants and wine bars within our community to bring relaxed, fun wine events your way. This is an unstructured group that meets in the Denver Metro area to enjoy wine, try new wines, socialize and just have a lot of fun. We look forward to having you as one of our members! Cheers!
Mobile Monday is a global community started in Finland almost a decade ago and has over 60 chapters worldwide.
The organization works with local and global mobile industry visionaries, and developers fostering cooperation and cross-company business development through virtual and live networking events sharing ideas, best practices and trends from global markets.
All Mobile Monday Chapters encourage innovation within the mobile sector and help local companies participate in initiatives through the import and export of visions, concepts, technologies, know-how and best practices. By continuing to present innovative visions, trends, studies and forecasts from the mobile marketplace we facilitate and create partnerships, while contributing to the education of the broader public through publications and an online presence.
The Colorado Chapter executes on these objectives, by delivering a balanced approach of business and technical content. We look to the local business community for some of this content, but also beyond the borders in order to make sure Colorado knows what is happening outside our borders that can help their business.
We also look to the community to step up and tell us what we can do to help your business. Submit a business problem that the community can help solve, or ideas on content you would benefit from at the meetings.
We look forward to seeing you there! And Smile. It's Monday!

Are you searching for a posse of single, fun-loving, interesting women ready for nights out in the city, hikes in the mountains, girl talk over brunch and mimosas, and maybe even some community service? Me too! If you are a single woman (Late 20s to Mid 40s) ready to take Denver by the tail and show it how to have a good time while having engaging conversation, big laughs, and making new friendships, please join this group!! Life's adventures are just more fun when shared with a bunch of fantastic girlfriends.
This outdoor group is geared towards the intermediate hiker/backcountry skier/snowshoer. Meaning, those people that hike on a regular basis and get regular aerobic activity. We try to maintain a nice pace, but still want to stop to enjoy the scenery, take a photo and just catch our breaths every now and then. We are not trying to race to the top, or get there by a certain time.
There are other meetup groups for beginner or occassional hikers and there are groups that are far more aggressive in their climbs or distance. Typical hikes are 7 - 15 miles in length and around 1100 - 3500 feet in elevation gain at an intermediate pace.
Snowshoeing trips are 4 - 10 miles, 600 - 2000 feet of elevation gain - avalanche conditions being the limiting factor.
This group is all about different ethnic food restaurants. We'll try to visit as many different cuisines as we can find from Indian, Cuban, Middle Eastern, Latin American and others. If you have ideas of places to attend please let me know.
Hello Vegan Explorers, Family and Friends!! Boulder Wine Meetup is a group of Boulder County wine enthusiasts who meet to taste and drink wine. No experience is necessary and we are all about having fun.
If you sign up for a wine tasting, please show up! No-shows make it hard for organizers. If you would like to host an event, just let us know and we'll help you select a date, determine the type of tasting, and decide on other details. It's easy to host a party where your guests sign up on their own and bring their own wine.
Please note this group is composed of and run by volunteers. No one pre-screens hosts or checks to make sure hosts are doing things properly. No one pre-screens group members who might attend parties. No one checks to make sure you don't drink too much when you attend a tasting. You take full responsibility for yourself if you participate in this group.
The group is great fun and an excellent way to meet fellow wine fans!
What are Skeptics and what does one do at a Skeptics' Meet-Up? Is it, as a friend put it, a bunch of people looking at each other suspiciously with one eyebrow raised, thinking, "I'm not too sure about you.?"
Ask the members of the forum what a Skeptic is, and you may hear a slightly different answer from each person. Among us, you will find people who love the hard sciences, psychology, philosophy, politics, current events, history, the list goes on. The common denominator? We enjoy discussing (ok, debating) issues surrounding these topics and others. As skeptics, we understand we need to back up assertions with more than feelings and beliefs, with reason and good evidence from reputable sources. Oh yeah, a sense of humor really helps.
Interested? Please join us.

Are you tired of either being too young at a ballroom dance, or too old at the hottest club in town? This is a group of people in their thirties and forties who just love to dance! We are all levels of experience...from those who have had lesson after lesson, to those of us who are pretty rusty, or to the beginners who just love to move! We get together and meet up wherever so that we have at least a few like-aged dancers to dance with no matter what we try. No partner required. No experience necessary. Just have a love of dancing! We try different venues, different organized social dances, and even different kinds of dancing. So if you're in your 30s or 40s and like to dance, rather it be ballroom, salsa, latin, swing, country, or just regular old jump up and down... I've got to move kind dancing, this group may be just the group for you! Find a meeting that sounds interesting and come out and join us! P.S. We don't card for ages, so if you are close (+/- 5) and think you'd blend in, please join us! But please don't go against the spirit of the group- 30 and 40 somethings.
Join us for on and off-piste Telemark, Randonee/AT, snowboarding, and the ocassional snowshoe and touring outing. We do resort days, day tours, hut trips, and backcountry (avy skills required), outings.
This is a group for small and toy breed dogs (under 20 pounds) and their people to get together in Denver for play dates, friendship, and fun. Please read the "About Us" page for more information.
Do you like beer? Do you like conversation? Do you like combining the two - along with other individuals - and creating a laid-back, open-minded environment in which to share thoughts, opinions, and observations? If you answered "yes" to any or all of the above, then The Barstool Philosophy group is for you! We will meet once a month to enjoy a tall cold one and meet new and interesting people. There will be no set-topics for discussion during the meetings, but we will provide an atmosphere open to any and all view points. If you are not educated in the teachings of Kant and Descartes, no need to fear. This is a group designed for individuals who want to discuss current news, politics, religion, technology etc., and how you feel they currently impact our society. Everyone is encouraged to discuss anything at any time. We only have one rule. Treat others how you want to be treated!
Meet other local people interested in discussing ideas about the metaphysical. We will explore and discuss a different topic at each Meetup. Possible areas include, psychic development, Numerology, Meditation, I Ching, tarot, chakra balancing, hypnosis, aurora and energy field readings and healings, astrology, psychometry, focused intention, runes, dowsing.
I also envision speakers and talks, interactive demonstrations. Group participation will be strongly encouraged.
This group is open to everyone (regardless of experience) with an interest in Metaphysics.
There is a $5 admission charge to pay for the space.
So Alex picked the name. He'll likely schedule some walking tours, among other things, so we can learn more about the great city we chosen to call home.
Oana wants to go dancing. I seem to recall her wanting a disco night! She's European and discotheques are dance clubs over there. Despite knowing that, I still can't help imagining her in sequins, bell bottoms, and other 70's flair! ;)
Zack wants to hit some comedy clubs. He has a weakness for raunchy stand-up comedians. You know, the racy and offensive ones.
I'll likely host some brunches and outings to free days at various museums, music in area parks, local art fairs, etc.
And we'll see what else we can dig up for when the four of us aren't hiking... since that's our primary passion. If you have some thoughts, feel free to post an idea. But be forewarned that by posting an idea, we may try to recruit you as an event host!
We hope you'll join us sometime!
PS: If you like hiking, check out our hiking group, Denver Day Hikers. And if you're a film buff, check out Avant-Garde Film & Conversation. Since we also have these other two groups, hiking and film events will be posted in their specific group instead of on here.
NOTE: Please make sure to review the attendance policy under more > files. Members who no show three times will be removed from the group.
Welcome to The Boulder (and Beyond!) Vegan Meetup!
The Boulder Vegan meetup promotes a lifestyle free from animal products in order to benefit human health, animals, and the environment. We strive to educate people about the powerful (and well researched) effects our food choices have on all life on Earth, and we encourage a shift toward a delicious and wholesome plant based diet. It has never been easier, more delicious and more urgent to shift away from animal agriculture, and we are here to support you in those efforts. Join an amazing group of people, change your life and help change the world.
Join us and meet fellow Vegans and others who are interested in living a more sustainable and compassionate lifestyle. Our events include monthly potlucks, restaurant outings, hikes, vegan-friendly happy hours, yoga nights, movie nights, workouts, and concerts. Have amazingly delicious meals, share your favorite plant based/cruelty free recipes, keep your body healthy and fit, and build a supportive community. Veg curious are welcome and will no doubt be amazed at the abundance and deliciousness of vegan meals!(and fear not if you aren't a culinary whiz - there are SO many vegan foods, prepared and otherwise, available at all supermarkets- call if you need help figuring out what to bring)
Personally, I've met some of the most awesome people through the Boulder Vegan Meetup, and I hope others have as well.
I look forward to building a wonderful community with all of you. Children of of all ages are always welcome.
Peace and peas on your plate(:
Lisa and Travis
Welcome!!!
Here's the list of what we will / will not be attending at the DCPA. I'm including the link here for your reference.
Just an FYI: It costs me about $150 a year to run a Meetup group - I don't profit off this group. The "fees" that are added to the ticket price are only what Paypal charges me directly (a flat $0.30 plus 2.9% of the total). I round up to the nearest 5 cents.
We'll be attending a huge variety of shows - traditional plays, including dramas and comedies, musicals, ballet, opera, and more. We'll usually do dinner before the shows, too - if a dinner is scheduled, I strongly encourage you to attend, as it's difficult to really meet your fellow group members before a show or during intermission.
I will usually require payment to RSVP to ensure that I'm giving the theater an accurate headcount. This is a necessity as, unfortunately, Meetup is notorious for no-shows.
My Refund Policy is firm. Check the message boards for more information.
Lot's of Networking!!!!! Denver networking, Business networking, B2B networking, Free networking, and more and more types of networking there is something for everyone from Leads Groups to BIG NETWORKING EVENTS, we have WORKSHOPS, NETWORKING classes, paid events and FREE EVENTS, Lots of Places to Network.
Welcome to an amazing class networking professionals to our meet up group, this is the ultimate Denver Networking group you'll be glad you are a part of this as we pride ourselves at being different from the traditional format(s) of networking leads group and referrals that's consistently being used today.
This meet up group is being established as an educational asset for new, seasoned, and old corporate class networking professionals in their 20's, 30's, 40's and 50's + being networked challenged in gaining the desired networking results for exposure and/or otherwise.
The reason you might be challenged in your networking endeavors, maybe because, you're lacked with today's "globalized financial education" especially as our corporate world is fundamentally changing at an alarming pace and so has the art of traditional networking.
As actually!!
Yesterday's traditional way of networking is being engulfed by a much bigger corporate process that brought change to our corporate structure in the way we conduct today's business and we have all the right educational tools to prove and validate our remarks, as this network becomes, an opportunity to evaluate and/or re-evaluate the way you network on a business and/or professional level.
Attending one of our Events is well worth the time!!
We put people first, wile also making it business before pleasure, we're helping to push both the business class professional and the working class professional forward in today's globalized world providing opportunities to "get networked exposed" to getting "globalized paid" while having fun do it.
The goal behind this meet up group is to create the best networking environment for many businesses and for personal networking growth, you may choose which locations, city, and dates to attend our meet ups.
So what are you waiting for see what we got up coming!

The Colorado Volleyball and Coed Sports MeetUp Group is comprised of highly active adults who love volleyball, meeting new people, competition, and many other recreational sports and activities.
Although most of our members are volleyball players, we do have other MeetUps like softball, tennis, flag football, ultimate frisby, and many many other social activities that result in epic moments of active fun.
Volleyball
From highly competitve open play to recreational and even to the back-yard picnic level, all are welcome to our MeetUps. Each organizer will usually specify the level of preferred play and format at their particular MeetUp. And of course, feel free to ask any questions regarding these fabulous Volleyball MeetUps that happen two or three times a week.
We also keep our members well informed about volleyball leagues, clinics, and tournaments offered around the Rocky mountain Region with insightful news and updates.
Social Events and Outtings
Our Colorado Volleyball MeetUp Group has so many outgoing and active high energy organizers and members that it has somehow evolved into an amphibious social animal of must attend events - like: backpacking, bike rides, barbeques, and bar mitsvahs! A great way to stay actively social while making new contacts and playing outside.

The Denver Adventurous Eaters Club is for people who are not afraid to try new and unusual foods. No meat, no spice, no region and no texture is off limits. Participants can expect to dine at some of Denver's more challenging culinary establishments; as well as do a little cooking and learning. Discussions of great food experiences are encouraged, as are ideas for future meetups. We are looking for people who genuinely appreciate adventurous foods as cuisine. You might think twice about joining this group if any of the following apply to you: You're a "meat and potatoes" type. You like your steak well done. You only eat white meat. You've ever asked to see a vegetarian menu. You hate fish. Taco Bell is too spicy for you. You wouldn't be caught dead eating liver. The thought of an anchovy on your pizza turns your stomach. You would never eat a rodent, amphibian or reptile. You don't like them "foreign foods". You wouldn't think of ever trying roast duck chins, pork stomach soup, tempura shrimp heads, braised chicken feet, or any other part, piece or particle not available at the Cracker Barrel.

This group is for twenty-something ladies (and some early thirty somethings) who are interested in doing things other than days at the spa, talking about marriage and seeing chick flicks. A group for the "Not-SO-Girly" girls who want to meet other ladies interested in the same things. What would these things be? Anything from dinner and drinks to a day at the races... hiking, pick-up sports, concerts, etc. "Girly" girls are welcome of course! But keep in mind this group is for those not interested in typical "girl's day out" events.
Thanks for your interest in the Boulder Writers' Workshop. I founded this business in 2008 as part of my private coaching and teaching practice and am gratified that we have grown to nearly 700 writers and publishing professionals in Boulder and throughout the Front Range. In my work in the industry for two decades, I have observed that successful writers have a number of characteristics in common. These include a commitment to network with other professionals, a drive to seek ongoing education and the determination to continually work toward the next level.
The BWW is different from most other meetup groups in that we serve the serious writer by offering high-quality, structured networking and learning opportunities. Every month, we offer an educational workshop taught by myself or a qualified professional. The BWW workshops are held Boulder at the Woody Creek Bakery or are sponsored by the Boulder Book Store. The North Metro Area Writers Chapter workshops are sponsored by the Barnes & Noble in Westminster. I offer a monthly literary salon that gives members a chance to connect and talk about writing and publishing. I am also launching the Flatirons Literary Review, another of my business projects, which will give BWW members and my coaching clients a way to build their professional platform by being involved in a publishing venture, through contributing articles, being a reader, editing a department or helping with administrative tasks. I have some other great offerings in the works--including a by-audition-only critique group and a paid membership level for professional writers.
I have been coaching for ten years, but writing professionally for twenty. I have worked as a magazine editor and have authored a travel book and a collection of short stories. I have written more than a thousand articles and essays. My work has appeared in Creative Nonfiction, The New York Times, Arizona Highways, America West Airlines Magazine, Working Woman, PHOENIX Magazine, Black Enterprise, Incentive and elsewhere. A story from my short story collection was a Top-25 Finalist in the 2010 December Glimmer Train Fiction Open and my nonfiction awards include a first place in business writing from Arizona Press Women.I have taught at Arizona State University's journalism school, in Phoenix College's creative writing program and at the Virginia C. Piper Center for Creative Writing at Arizona State University. I am also the founder and director of the Associated Writing Coaches. I live in Boulder with my husband and son. We are a homeschooling family. You can learn more about me at www.lorideboer.com and you can book as session with me at www.bookeo.com/lorideboer/customer.
I am open to partnering with other writing coaches and teachers on workshops, conferences and retreats and request that you approach me directly instead of posting to the group. We try to keep e-mails down to a minimum, so anyone soliciting the group will be removed.
If you want to join up with us, we require that you fill out your profile and load an actual photo of yourself. We also run a private group on Facebook, which is another great way to connect and be updated on opportunities
Happy writing!

We're so excited you asked! --- BIG DOGS HUGE PAWS is a giant breed rescue based out of Colorado. We love our big dogs, and we know there are so many other giant breed owners - and potential owners! - out there; why not get together at the dog park? We'll plan meetups across and beyond the Greater Denver Metro area - open to anywhere - as long as one of our Meetup Group Organizers/Assistant Organziers can attend, we'll be there! --- Our rescue includes Mastiffs of all kinds, Great Danes, Newfoundlands, Great Pyrenees, Saint Bernards and so many others - find out more at bigdogshugepaws.com. We have a diverse group of dogs that come through our rescue, including giant breed mixes, and we wanted to find a way to bring all the Gentle Giants together for a Play Date at the Dog Park! --- If you have a giant breed, a mix, or are considering adopting one, please join our meetup and bring your big dog to the park! We're open to suggestions for best park locations, and we'll post other fun "big dog" stuff here too. We're looking forward to getting together with you at our upcoming Big Dogs Play Dates! --- COME OUT AND PLAY! Please RSVP for our upcoming scheduled meetups - if you can't make it, please let us know, and let us know when and where you'd like to see us schedule future meetups so we can plan one at a dog park near you. --- THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR BEING RESPONSIBLE. Though this group is open to anyone and everyone, as organizers & BDHP volunteers we want to let our members know that first & foremost, we represent the values, ideals and core beliefs of Big Dogs Huge Paws Rescue. We ask that you respect other members, their dogs and their boundaries, that you supervise your canines at all times while at the park with us, and as rescue advocates, we ask that all dogs in attendance be current on vaccinations and, as responsible pet owners associated with this meetup group and thus our rescue, all dogs over 6 months of age who participate in our meetup groups must be spayed or neutered. Please feel free to contact any of your meetup organizers with questions.
Hope to see you at the dog park soon! ~ Your two-and-four-legged friends at Big Dogs Huge Paws

We're a good & diverse bunch of people that like to get out at least once a week (often more) and sing, drink, and be generally merry. There is no cost to join (dues are a suggestion, not a requirement) and you don't HAVE to sing though we do recommend it because it can be so much fun.
If you're reading this, you're at least mildly interested. Join us, find out when the next event is, come along, and bring a friend or few if you'd like. You'll be glad you came.

This group is for any recreational mountain biker that wants to meet up with people for trail rides around Boulder. There are rides for all skill levels: beginner, intermediate, and maybe even a few advanced. The rides are meant to be fun for all, so those intimidated by more advanced riders, fear not. These are ego-free rides. If you need to get off your bike and walk it up a steep or tricky section, it's OK! We'll try to keep a pace that works for the whole group.
Here are some of the trails we frequently ride around Boulder, and a rough guideline regarding their level of difficulty:
Betasso - Beginner (easy)
Marshal Mesa - Beginner (easy)
Dowdy Draw - Beginner/Intermediate (medium)
Heil Ranch - Intermediate (hard)
Walker Ranch - Intermediate (hard)
(you can google these trails for more descriptions of their length and difficulty)
Ride details will be posted so you can judge for yourself what fits your skill level. Please arrive a few minutes before the posted time of the ride. If it says the ride is at 6pm, then that's when we start peddling. Looking forward to seeing you on the trail!

Twice a year we also put together larger events for the Denver marketing community regarding search engine marketing.
Meet other local people who are interested in Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and more general issues related to Search Engine Marketing (SEM). We gather and share advice and info on better ways to work with search engines. It is also a good time to network with others in the industry.
Are you interested in reconnecting with nature, getting outside, and learning more about yourself?
More than just a hiking club, this is a MeetUp for people who want to experience a new appreciation of the land around the Front Range and nature. We will be learning how to "read" nature's omens for deeper insights, how to cultivate inner wisdom, and how to be mindful and present while hiking. I formed this group because I know there's no other hiking club quite like this one, where contemplation and nature-awareness is the focus, not exercise or social time. I have a Master's Degree in Ecopsychology (the study of the human-nature relationship) and am publishing a book on contemplative hiking.
The hikes will be mostly silent, with a short talk before, an activity during, and a discussion afterward. Silence enables us to listen to what's around us and in us and to experience nature fully. We will not be doing goal-oriented like "bagging" any peaks or racing through a trail. Our hikes will be moderately paced on easy-to-challenging trails. The typical distance we'll cover will be 3-5 miles or about two hours. You should be in good health, able to handle strenuous exercise and own basic gear such as hiking boots, YakTrax (for winter), a backpack and a rainproof jacket.
Sometimes I will post an essay to read ahead of time, which will be fodder for the hike and a discussion afterward.
For more information about this MeetUp and contemplative hiking, visit my website at http://www.ContemplativeHiking.com

Welcome fellow Abers!!!
Whether you are new to the Abraham-Hicks material or whether you are a long-time follower, we hope that this Abraham Meetup Group will help expand your understanding of the Abraham concepts and provide tools and exercises to support you in creating the life you want. Life is supposed to be fun!
This Group offers a wide variety of meetup group options:
Vibin' in the Vortex: Experiential exercises to get us in the Vortex and keep us there!
Tuesday Clips and Conversation: Listening to and discussing Abraham pre-recorded segments.
Abraham Live from the Stream: Live Abraham workshops downloaded from the internet.
Good Vibrations: Fun-filled parties, restaurant gatherings, picnics, pot lucks and more!
We've found that the best way to truly incorporate these principles into our lives and to embrace the Law of Attraction is to share our ideas, questions, perspectives, and experiences. In this way, we raise our vibration and find alignment with Source.
"When you get tuned into the energy that creates worlds…and you practice the vibration so that you're chronically holding it, then the Universe matches you up with others who are in that same vibrational pattern. And when you come together in collaboration with others who are also there, that's when the expansion really happens, you see.
"You don't need others to create huge things; you just need alignment and absence of resistance to the energy that creates worlds. But once you get in that Vortex and practice it, then those who come to play with you are really fun to play with."
~Abraham, North L.A. Workshop, February 2010

The Denver Metro Area Bipolar Meetup is a group designed to bring people together that are diagnosed with bipolar disorder/manic depression in order to engage in discussion, support, and encouragement. Our meetup is growing and everyone is welcome to come to our meetings regardless of their diagnosis', age, length of time that they have been diagnosed et al.
Bipolar has many levels and symptoms. Many of us will have common experiences. We hope that by gathering together we will be reminded that we are not alone and we do not have to feel alone. Many of us may find that in our personal support system we may lack the understanding that only someone else with our affliction can really relate. The goal of this group is to provide an open forum for this support to take place.
This group is not faciltated by any professional and does not claim to provide any facts or advice. We are merely a group of people with a similar struggle and this is our forum for open discussion.
Furthermore, we use meetup.com to have an open conversation that anybody facing bipolar can utilize and experience. So let's Meetup and see what happens...it may help.

The suburbs west of Denver are blessed with several different urban trails for walking/bicycle riding in a scenic natural environment which is conveniently acccessible to area residents after work and on weekends. West Denver trails (formerly West Denver urban trails) is a place for users of these trails to meet while enjoying these trails and experiencing others that they may not normally use. The organizer is familiar with trails from Westminster to Littleton, and hopes other members will add their experience and ideas to the group.
West Denver Trails is intended to complement existing Meetup groups (such as hiking groups) by filling a niche for those that may want to meet other urban trail users while engaging in their usual after work or weekend exercise routine.
"West Denver" was originally defined for the purposes of this group as roughly from the west side of Denver (e.g. S. Platte River) to the start of the foothills (e.g. Golden), and Westminster to Littleton. This has been expanded to include the foothills and mountains to the west of Denver, up to selected 13,000 and 14,000 foot peaks. The latter hikes may be very strenuous, and those participating must be adequately prepared.
Dog policy: Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on leash at all times and be able to interact well with people and other animals. Note: Some places may not allow dogs e.g. some nature reserves.
The West Denver Trails group will not start a hike/ride until the leader of that particular meetup has showed up, and a 15 minute grace period will generally be allowed for latecomers.
DISCLAIMER: While West Denver Trails will generally use fairly gentle trails, there is always some risk inherent in any outdoor activities. Group members should be prepared for any activities that they participate in, as West Denver Trails cannot accept liability for injury or illness incurred during these activities.

My name is Lauren Bond Kovsky and I am a naturalist and wilderness based life coach based in Boulder, CO. As part of my offering, I do low cost and donation based outings for anyone interested in plants, animals, birds, wild edibles, geology, survival skills, and more! There will be a different theme for each outing.
We've watched baby owls grow up, eaten berries and other wild edibles, laughed a whole lot, taken some incredible photos, made plaster casts of tracks, watched eagles fly overhead, found fossils in the foothills, had an incredible blustery snowshoeing adventure, and more!
Our members come from a wide range of backgrounds, fitness levels, and ages. We all enjoy stopping to smell the flowers, take photos, and eat berries.
Our outings are designed to be accessible to everyone. We take our time and stop on the trail regularly to explore our surroundings and look at the birds. We have a ton of fun, learn a lot, and we love meeting new people!
Please see my website- http://www.thepathtransitions.com for more information on my background and the other offerings I have. You can also find out information on the http://www.meetup.com/Boulder-Naturalist-Outings/about/ page of the meetup site. Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns!
Membership is free to attend. However, if anybody wishes to provide a donation to help offset the nominal fees Meetup.com charges, I would appreciate it. Thanks!

This group is for folks of all ages who just want to slow down, take their time and have a more harmonious outcome with nature and to experience the scenery and the beauty of Colorado. This group is for those of you who would like to camp-out, backpack off into the wilderness, fish, bike, hike and do whatever you want to do. Feel free to organize any of these activities if you would like. Your choice of location, time, and number of people that you think would be appropriate. But it's up to you to find your own experience, journal it and write a book!
Makes no difference if you are native to the area or just drove into town. All positive minded kind people are welcome.
I would also like those of you who play a stringed instrument such as a guitar, banjo, fiddle or maybe a jug or two to bring them along with you.
If you would like to host a camp-out, hike, bike or other activity please let me know, send me some information and we'll get it done. If you would like to be a event organizer so you can offer an activity also please contact me.
I believe those of us who have been privileged to spend the night under the stars in an isolated mountain valley know that the wilderness transforms us in settle ways that linger long after the glow of the campfire and the smell of the pine needles are gone.
So pull up a log, grab some grub and let's surround a campfire!!!
Welcome to Colorado Camping and Getaways!

Welcome to the Denver-Boulder International Adventure Travel Club!
Simply put, this group is for people who want to make friends and travel the world.
The group tries to Meetup locally in the Denver-Boulder area to bring adventurous people together to talk about where weve been and where we dream of going with the ultimate goal of traveling to amazing and adventurous places around the world with a group of other liked-minded people (see our events).
As much as we are looking to find other adventurous people to travel with, we love getting together face to face with members from our community to visit local restaurants, grab a social drink together in one of the local bars or maybe even a hike or a walk at a local park.
So come join us and live the adventurous life youve always dreamed of.
Welcome dirt bike riders of all levels and all ages! We are just enthusiastic dirt bike trail riders getting away from it all, enjoying the great outdoors, and riding from a high-level to a casual pace. Our rides happen on weekends beginning mid-March and/or mid-April and lasting thru September. And our Dirt Bike Camping trips are family-friendly and happen mostly on the three-day weekends (Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day).
Our goal is to schedule at least one meetup each month, and to encourage more online activity with the discussion board and polls so that we can connect and provide advice and support when we're not physically meeting up.
The meetups thus far are generally structured around the idea of just getting together for a meal or fun (potluck dinners, Dave & Busters, swimming at rec centers, meeting at a restaurant, etc.) and not intended to be counseling discussion sessions where we sit in a circle and tell our stories. We'd like to continue the meetups in this vein as while the gatherings aren't therapy-focused per se, getting together and breaking bread and talking and sharing and making friends has indeed been therapeutic. However, I'm open to any ideas and we can try various other things--just suggest a meetup or go to the polling place on this site and let me know your thoughts.

Although we've been in business for more than eight years, we've now decided to introduce ourselves on a meet-up group to try to reach out in a convenient way for our players.
Come play with us! We are the Colorado Volleyball Connection and we cater to both competitive and recreational players as well as beginners, and invite both individual and team registrants. We will connect you with a team any time you need us to. We run fall and winter indoor court volleyball leagues as well as summer sand and grass. Please visit the website at www.coloradovolleyballconnection.com for full details (click on the "upcoming leagues" link to the left, then "more info" next to the top heading) or feel free to email us coloradovolleyballconnection@comcast.net.
We started this company in 2002 because at the time, it was difficult to find women's height volleyball nets, but now we have grown to cater to men, women and coed leagues and we are loving it! Coed BB 4's, Coed REC 6's, Women's BB 4's and Coed B 6's are our most popular leagues but we are always open to new formats and will always try to run formats our players are looking for. Youths are welcome too as long as they play at the level of league they have signed up for.
In 2011 our indoor leagues are running in a couple of locations in Wheat Ridge. Our upcoming winter leagues begin the first week of January and are in open enrollment currently. It's never too late however, as we are ALWAYS seeking players and free agents for our sub list.
We strive for good, solid, safe volleyball in a atmosphere that is nurturing and fun. We promote skills, laughter and the occasional sand in your pants!
Please seek us out. You'll be happy to find a fun loving group that enjoys volleyball and each other's company!

CHAOS actively encourages its members to organize trips but does not supervise the activities. CHAOS is not a guide service and a person should only go on trips they feel are appropriate for their ability and experience level.
If you have questions, ask the trip organizer! Many trip organizers love to help out new members and will gladly answer any questions you have about the trip, what equipment to bring, etc. Above all else, have fun and be safe!
Here is a Welcome To Chaos document with more information: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1aLFTysl452wTZcaSYt3KP4brsqsqL867Cos1xZ2gavg/edit?hl=en_US
Many past and present members believe that CHAOS enormously improved their "young adulthood and pre-family" phase of life. To ensure that this wonderful opportunity remains for future members, they should be in their 20's, 30's or 40's when they join CHAOS.
If the members' ages or the group's style don't feel like a good fit for you, we suggest you check out one of the other great clubs in Boulder like the Flatirons Ski Club, the Boulder Outdoor Group, the Colorado Mountain Club, the Boulder Nordic Ski Club, the Sierra Club, or the C.U. Hiking Club (office in UMC).
Please be respectful when you RSVP to events, and only RSVP if you know you will make the event; especially if there is a limited number of spots available. If you end up with three no-shows; whether it's a no call/no show, or a cancel at the last minute; you will be removed from the group.
Ever wondered where to get creamed chipped beef on toast? How about 1000 year old egg? Welsh rarebit?
This group is based on finding, visiting and evaluating the mom and pop, mom and mom and pop and pop places you never see in ads, reviews or guidebooks. All those hole-in- the wall restaurants on north Larimer Street or along Federal Boulevard or in dusty strip malls that you have never heard about but wondered. We will NOT be visiting any chain restaurants or places reviewed in Westword or the Post or on TV stations. We may be going places you would never think of going alone. My intention is to have one event on a weekend and one on a weekday night each month to start.
We will gather member input and try to vary the part of town and the ethnic slant. Because most of the places we will be going will have limited seating we will need your assistance on RSVPs. You will each get one unexcused no-show but will be dropped from the group on the second, so please update RSVPs. As group size and interest increases we may add more events each month. The more off the beaten path the place, the better.
As we are growing pretty big I just added some polls to help us decide what to do and when. Please take them.

Its all about having fun and getting away from routine life for a day, a weekend, weekdays, or even longer trips ... We live in a fantastic location with the outdoors minutes away and outdoor activities and camping are some of the best ways to enjoy the splendor of the outdoors and our Mountains here in Colorado and around the country! All of our trips, activities, events, etc will come from our members and organizers. Everyone is encouraged to make suggestions and throw out ideas for planning our next activity, trip, or adventure! Please note we are not limited to Colorado, we are already planning trips outside of Colorado.
Our camping trips will include a wide variety of camping types: Backpacking, tent camping, car camping, pop-up tent trailers, and some places accessible by Camper or 5th wheel. Some of the trips may involve visiting established campgrounds with water, campfire rings, restroom facilities and fees (these trips will have a cost to help cover the site reservation costs). Other car camping trips may involve boondocking using unimproved campsites with no facilities but also no reservation fees or even where you can drive up to or at least very close to the actual campsite.
We are Pet & children friendly, in fact adults, kids and pets are normally invited to any trips/activities, but PLEASE read the description of each activity &/or trip for any specific information regarding kids & pets. Always contact the organizer for that trip, if you have any questions. Please note that pets are not allowed on some trails or in some areas. Many improved locations or state parks in Colorado require that your pet be leashed/restrained at all times.
We are not only about camping ... outdoors activities, longer trips, day hikes, rock climbing, fishing, mountain biking, skiing, road trips, and more in Colorado or around the country are all open events if you are interested! We hope you will join us in our exploration of outdoors here in Colorado and elsewhere. We always welcome more events and the organizers to plan and lead trips ... so anyone who has plans can post their ideas on the message board, or contact the leadership team and we can designate you the host, if you want to plan something.
What is Boondocking? For our purposes we defining boondocking as: when you camp for FREE somewhere with NO hookups (without amenities) and NOT in a campground. this is also sometimes called Dry Camping ... Yes, we do understand that Boondocking may not really be the best term, but it has somehow come into 'common use' in camping & RV circles. So we are using it with the above meaning :o)

This summer we have trips planned from primitive, to flush toilets and running water. We will also be scheduling last minute trips when the weather is nice.

Ready to take your portfolio to the next level? Do you have an idea in your mind for an awesome shoot but can't make it happen? This meetup is intended for amateaur and professional photographers to keep expanding their portfolio. Please shoot me an e-mail if you have an idea for a shoot, if it's possible I will definitely try to make it happen!
I have worked with many models and their biggest complaint to me is that most males make them feel uncomfortable and have them do poses that they feel are disrespectful. I WILL NOT TOLERATE ANY MEMBER MAKING THE MODELS DO THINGS THEY DON'T WANT TO DO. Please be respectful, if I hear any complaints you will be removed from the group.
I want this to be a fun experience where amateurs and professionals are working together and teaching each other things they have learned in the past. You are responsible for your own equipment and it is up to you if you want to share it or not.
All photographers attending a meetup are required to upload 5-8 fully edited images (of EACH model) to www.fotoqu.com/meetup.php within 2 weeks of the photo shoot. Please submit high res files without your logo and lo res with your logo. Model releases will be posted under the More>Files tab after the 2 week period to assure the models are getting their photos. Those that don't upload images from the shoot will be removed from the group.
